Spatial Symphony:
Orchestrating QGIS Layers

This work layers hydrants, roads, and parcels in QGIS to showcase points, polylines, and polygons as core geometries, spotlighting spatial referencing, styling flexibility, and boundary mapping with house numbers in view.

Point Layer

This figure shows hydrant locations as points. You can see how each hydrant links to a pipeline installation year, enabling spatial referencing, time labeling, and infrastructure mapping across the network.

Polyline Layer

This figure adds roads as polylines. By adjusting line styles, widths, and colors, you can flexibly shape road appearance. It also integrates with point features in the left figure for richer spatial context.

Polygon Layer

Together with points and lines, this figure adds buildings and parcels as polygons. Each area outlines boundaries, supporting land split and house display. The numbers inside parcels mark house numbers.
